Three male suspects aged between 35 and 48 were arrested after they were caught transporting suspected stolen goats and sheep near the Nyl plaza in Mokopane (Potgietersrus) policing area on Friday, 17 March 2023.
One motor vehicle with a trailer was seized.
Police in the process managed to recover a total of 56 goats, three sheep and also confiscated the vehicle used to transport the livestock, an Isuzu bakkie.
The three suspects are expected to appear in the Mokopane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 20 March 2023 facing a charge of possession of suspected stolen livestock.
The recovered livestock is impounded in Mokopane.
