Three brothers will appear at the Mbibane Magistrate’s Court, Mmametlhake on 23 January 2018, facing a charge of murder. The appearance of the trio aged between 25 and 47 comes about after they were arrested for allegedly beating to death a 36 year old man, reported to be a brother of theirs accusing him of being the sole beneficiary of their parents’ inheritance. That, according to them, turned him to be a rich man while they are poor.
According to information at police disposal, the victim was at his residential place with his wife when the suspects pounced and started an argument with him. They then reportedly started assaulting him with open hands and fists as well as bricks when he fell to the ground.
The trio then fled the scene while the victim was rushed to hospital where he was certified dead on arrival. The suspects were soon arrested thereafter.
