Two men who were arrested following the theft of six vehicles at Phalaborwa Ford on Saturday morning, 9 December 2017, have been remanded in custody by the Musina Magistrates’ Court today.

Tsununu Maphosa (31) and Mpho Dzuguda (23) were arrested after they were found in possession of suspected stolen vehicles.

Maphosa was the driver of one of the recovered vehicles while Dzuguda was a passenger in another vehicle. Both of them are facing a charge of possession of suspected stolen vehicle.

Dzuguda was allegedly paid a sum of money to aid the suspects to navigate through the villages and access the Limpopo River.

The two suspects’ case was postponed to 12 December 2017, to allow them time to arrange for legal representation.

They will appear at the Masisi Periodical Court.

Meanwhile the search is still on for eleven more suspects and one outstanding vehicle, a white Ford Ranger. Anyone with information is urged to contact Investigating Officer Warrant Officer Makhani at 082 565 7842.
