Lekota: ‘Expropriation plan could lead to war’

“If a majority decision can be taken in parliament to expropriate land without compensation, it can lead to war.”

He also warned that blood could flow if voters were to vote for reckless people in the next election.

The warning comes from Terror Lekota, leader of Cope, who in essence still considers himself an ANC.

Lekota says whites are needed as lecturers and teachers who will teach their fellow black South Africans how to best utilize land allocated to them by the land redistribution process. He said the then apartheid government made sure that white people were educated and their expertise was essential.
