The Department of Social Development has spent R30 million on legal fees since 2013.
The Department and its Minister, Bathabile Dlamini in recent years often approached the courts for appeals to be heard on the allocation of social grants.
The department is at par excellence the department that does not bother with court orders because on five opportunities they did not get their business in order in time, after being ordered to do so.
The only ones benefiting from this is lawyers who fill their pockets at the expense of taxpayers.
