The enormous corruption and fraud in South Africa is apparently so great in scope that no one really realizes what it all involves.

According to an English newspaper, there is also an enormous amount of fraud in the so-called “land reform” over which some people are so enthusiastic.

The Special Investigation Unit, which apparently exposed the fraud and corruption, believes that 42 people should be prosecuted immediately.

It appears from the report that 148 land reform projects in the period 2011 to 2017 contain “important systematic weaknesses”. It seems that no proper control mechanisms were in place to prevent fraud.

It has been found that fraud has been committed “on an enormously large scale” with so-called land reform programs where government officials have made farms and millions of Rand available to people who do not qualify for it at all.

According to the report, the government’s official representatives as well as the 42 people referred to should all be prosecuted.

The report was apparently handed over to Cyril Ramaphosa, and observers say they are watching the case closely to see what the ANC president is going to do.
