The verdict in the Kuick Vlei Settlement case comes amid ongoing debates surrounding the government’s failure to bring about effective land reform.

The case against Patrick Masoka took ten years after his “takeover” of the land.

Experts say it is time for an audit to be done to determine who owns land after the state has taken over the so called land redistribution and reform process.
