A 24 year old woman is in a serious but stable condition after she was shot multiple times by her boyfriend at her place of employment in Phoenix, KZN on Saturday morning 17 November 2018.

At approximately 08:04 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to a clothing factory following the shooting. Upon arrival Medics treated Nobuhle Zwane for two gunshot wounds to her face and and one gunshot wound to her hand before transporting her to hospital.

The victim explained that she and her boyfriend were dating since June this year. There were involved in a domestic dispute and were not on talking terms for the past few days. This morning as she was about to enter her place of employment he approached her and fired multiple shots at her when his firearm jammed.

He then fled the scene on foot. The suspect is believed to be a security officer however this is yet to be confirmed.

Reaction Officers began searching for the armed suspect who was seen by the public entering a dense bush along a steep embankment on Stonebridge Drive.

As Officers entered the bush multiple shots were fired at them. The Umhlali K9 Unit arrived on scene and an extensive search was conducted for the suspect however he still remains at large.
