Durban: At 19H06 Sunday evening Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting in a rural area between Cotton Lands and Tongaat.
Reports from the scene indicate that an adult female returning home from work was allegedly robbed and then shot as she tried to escape.
The woman believed to be 41-years-old sustained a guns shot wound to the left thigh, resulting in a fracture.
The woman required Advanced Life Support intervention and was transported by Netcare 911 ambulance to hospital for further assessment and care.
All necessary authorities were on scene to investigate.
