Woman beaten and dragged around during farm attack
Farm worker and wife brutally assaulted

A woman was beaten and dragged around during a farm attack on Saturday, February 11 on her farm situated in the Umvoti municipality, KwaZulu-Natal.

Around 16H30 Cynthia Tredoux was attacked and overpowered by two suspects who gained access to the residence while her husband Chris was away. The suspects forced her to open the safe before gagging and blindfolding her. The suspects beat and dragged her around the house, before fleeing with cash and firearms.

The police and farming community together with farming security companies immediately responded to the incident and tracked the suspects for almost 10km before poor light put a stop to the follow-up. During this time, some of the stolen goods were recovered.

Cynthia was treated for severe bruising sustained during the attack.

The police are investigating and the search for the suspects continues.
