Swift action from Marshall Security Armed Reaction officers saw the arrest of two dangerous suspects wanted for armed robbery.

An alert was received by the Marshall Security Emergency Contact Centre, that a Grey Volkswagen Polo flagged as wanted by the South African Police Services was spotted by our SNIPR Automatic Number Plate Recognition Camera systems in the Durban North area.

A description of the vehicle was distributed to all Marshall Security vehicles in the area and a positive sighting was made on Umhlanga Rocks Drive near the intersection of Longwoods Road.

A call was made to the SAPS 10111 call center who confirmed the vehicle was wanted in connection with various violent crimes in the Umbilo area of late and advised to attempt to stop the vehicle if possible whilst SAPS members made their way to assist.

The vehicle was brought to a stop on Umhlanga Rocks Drive.

Two occupants, both males were confirmed to be wanted by the South African Police for various acts of business robbery in the Umbilo area earlier this year. Both men were arrested on site and taken into the custody of the SAPS.

Further feedback reveals that the suspects have been linked to several other serious crimes and have been detained for further investigation and processing.
