A 24-year-old male victim was fired upon while pursuing robbery suspects in Oaklands – KZN a short while ago (Monday).
The complainant and two (2) friends were walking on Oaklands Drive in Oaklands – KZN when they were approached by two (2) unknown males. One (1) of the men produced a firearm and instructed only one (1) of the victims to hand over his cellphone and backpack.
The victim threw his Samsung cellphone into a bush in an attempt to deter the robbery, but the suspects entered the dense vegetation and retrieved the electronic device. They thereafter fled through a pathway. The victim and his friends pursued, but abandoned the chase after a shot was fired in their direction.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) conducted a search for the robbers, but no arrests were made….
