On 30 April until 1 May 2022, Ulundi Public Order Police embarked in an operation where they were following up on information about the suspects who were carrying firearms.
The team proceeded to R66 Road in Ulundi where they spotted two males who were walking at A Section.
When they were approached by police officers, the said males fled on foot into the bushes and dropped the bag on the ground. Upon searching the bag, police found two pistols with eight rounds of ammunition and a toy gun.
The suspects are still being sought by police.
