On 27 June 2017, at approximately 15:45, an Ethekwini Inner South Intelligence driven operation, together with Durban Flying Squad apprehended two suspects at their home in Milky Way Road, Mariannhill, after both suspects were linked to Trio Crimes in the Ethekwini Inner South area.

The first suspect was arrested after he was found in possession of three illegal firearms and ammunition. Two of the firearms recovered were linked to Pinetown Trio Crime Cases.

The second suspect was apprehended after the team found a stolen motor vehicle on the premises. The vehicle had been stolen from the Chats worth area recently.

Ethekwini Inner South Cluster Commander, Major General Nunkumar commended members on their excellent work in apprehending the Trio Crime suspects. “Our team will be working around the clock to link the two suspects to various Trio Crimes within the Ethekwini area,” he said.
