Business robbery at U save supermarket in Merebank yesterday at 17:45.

It is alleged three black males entered into the supermarket and were busy loading groceries into the trolley. One employee was busy packing items near the tills when one suspect pulled up his shirt showing her a firearm. The suspect ordered the employees and customers to lay down on the floor and took items to load in the trolley.

The alarm was activated and the police in Wentworth were called out to attend. On arrival of the police, the suspects ran out of the supermarket and went in different directions.

The police managed to apprehend two suspects and they were charged for business robbery. The suspects are aged 18 and 31.

One customer was stabbed and it assumed that tone of the suspects stabbed him whilst getting away. He was taken to hospital in stable condition.

Both suspects remain in Wentworth SAPS cells for further investigation. Police still tracing the other suspect on the run.
