Two males were fatally shot in a drive-by attack in Magwaveni, Tongaat – KZN today (Tuesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) and Metro Police responded to an unnamed road after reports of gunfire. On arrival, a male was found lying next to a red Toyota Corolla with multiple gunshot wounds to the head, neck, face, and chest. He was declared deceased at the scene. According to initial accounts, he had been installing a music system in the vehicle when the shooting occurred.
Residents informed Reaction Officers that a second victim, believed to be 16 years old, was also shot and transported privately to a medical facility, where he was reportedly declared dead on arrival. First Responders were unable to immediately confirm this information.
Witnesses reported hearing several shots before a vehicle sped away. The motive for the killings remains unknown.
