A joint operation led by police at Weenen was conducted in the early hours of 4 october 2019. The aim of the operation was to arrest known wanted suspects. The police officers were hunting down suspects who were involved in housebreaking cases that occurred at two lodges in the area.

The police officers proceeded to homesteads at Nhlawe and KaMajola where they recovered three cell phones, two wrist watches, a jacket, SANDF uniform, a pellet gun, a .38 special revolver and ammunition.

All the items that were recovered were allegedly stolen from two lodges in the area.

The suspects were not found on the premises that were searched, however their identities have been confirmed by police. Detectives are confident that they will be arrested soon and have repeated their call for communities to refrain from buying stolen goods.
