Two men aged 29 and 35 have escaped serious injuries after protestors set their truck alight whilst protesting on Umgeni Road near the N2 bridge on 28 June 2017.

Rescue Care Paramedics were called to the scene just after 08:30 to find the damaged truck on the center medium.

The truck had been set alight but was quickly extinguished by services on scene.

Two men had sustained minor injuries and were treated by Rescue Care Paramedics on the scene.

SAPS and Metro Police were on the scene and will be investigating further.
