On Friday, 21 July 2017, Nsuze police arrested three suspects aged between 22 and 24 for murder and house robbery that took place at Nsuze, Sogidi area.
It alleged that a 19 year old victim was shot on his head by the suspects and he was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased, Nqubeko Ngubane was doing grade 12 at Qalakabusha Secondary School.
A case of murder and house robbery was opened at Nsuze police station for further investigation. One of the suspects is believed to be part of the gang that has been terrorizing the community at Deda area and surroundings.
The suspect will appear in the Maphumulo Magistrates’ Court on 24 July 2017 and the two suspects were detained for further investigation.
KwaZulu-Natal Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bheki Langa praised the members for arresting the suspects. “We will ensure that the case is properly investigated so that the suspects will be convicted and sentenced accordingly,” he said.
