Four suspects were arrested after a joint operation between Marshall Security and the South African Police Services on the evening of 17 July 2017.

An alert on site Marshall Security officer had noticed men loading goods believed to be counterfeit, into a vehicle and alerted our armed reaction officers. Information was relayed to the SAPS and a sting operation was established.

Members of the intelligence unit and Marshall Security arranged to meet with the men, on the pretense of being customers.

When the suspects arrived at the premises a search was conducted by the SAPS.

Counterfeit goods with an estimated street value of ten million rands were seized including screen printing equipment used for the production of the goods.

Four male suspects believed to be foreign nationals were arrested and remanded in the custody of the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
