Temple break-in suspect arrested in Brindhaven

A 24 year old suspect was apprehended by members of Reaction Unit South Africa after he attempted to break into a temple on Everest Lane in Brindhaven on Wednesday.

At approximately 14:57 members of Reaction Unit South Africa were called out to the temple by a worshiper who noticed the man attempting to force open a door. The suspect fled the scene after he realised that he had attracted attention. The caller provided a detailed clothing description of the suspect and the direction in which he had fled. Reaction officers patrolled the vicinity and apprehended the suspect on Fairview Drive. He was led back to the temple where he was positively identified.

The suspect is a known criminal and has been apprehended by reaction officers previously for shoplifting and theft.
