Syndicate pay bribes for firearms

Die Vryburger

Durban police are investigating a syndicate which sells temporary firearm licenses to Chinese residents of Natal.

The licenses are apparently sold for between R25 000 and R30 000 each to the Chinese who believe that they are easy targets for criminals.

The allegations have apparently been reported to the police in the past, but nothing came of it.

The question is how much is paid to officials involved in the awarding of licenses?
