At 18H56 Netcare 911 responded to reports of a shooting in Malacca road, Durban North.
Reports from the scene indicate that an adult male suspected to be involved in a robbery had sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.
The man was assessed on scene by a Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner and found to have no signs of life and declared deceased.
The body was handed over to SAPS who were on scene and will be investigating.
