A pensioner in Malabar Hills was left shaken and disoriented, earlier today, after he was accosted and robbed outside his house by a suspect whom he is unsure was either a male or female.
Alpha Alarms received a call called from the pensioner who informed them of the robbery. A security officer was immediately dispatched. The elderly man informed the security officer that he had driven into his property and alighted from his vehicle when the unknown suspect pounced on him.
The complainant alleged that he attempted to defend himself against the suspect who proved to be very strong. He further alleged that the suspect robbed him of his wallet and removed the cash.
Another male passerby who witnessed the incident unfolding told the security officer that he dashed to the pensioner’s rescue and attempted to subdue the suspect.
The suspect broke free and fled towards the railway line. The security officer searched the area on foot and drove around but to no avail.
The male passerby, who is also quite hefty, was also unsure as to whether the suspect was male or female as he stated that the suspect was unusually strong but appeared feminine as well.
It is therefore unconfirmed if it is a possible modus operandi used by male suspects to appear female in appearance to confuse their victims and overpower them.
Both the complainant and the male passerby did not take note of the suspect’s attire as they were taken aback by the suspect’s force and strength.
