On 22 September 2018, at about 17:00 members of RRPU follow up an information at Room 89 Commercial City building, Commercial Rd. Information of a suspect who dealing with counterfeit products of Unilever .
On arrival members recovered the following items:
• 35x 5 litres with white liquid similar with handy Andy.
• 35x 5 litres with green liquid soap similar with Sunlight.
• 10x 5 litres with clear liquid similar with Jik.
• 5x 5 litres with liquid similar with Domestors
• 300 x Ampty containers of original Handy Andy (750ml).
• 91xAmpty containers of original Sunlight dish soap.
• 30xAmpty container of original Domestors(750ml).
• 200x Sunlight liquid soap containers refill imitation soap (1,5 liters)
• 25x Domestors containers refill imitation Domestors.
• 47xJik containers refill imitation jik (750ml).
• 200xHandyAndy containers refill imitation handy Andy (750ml).
MR Mkhize who is a Unilever expect came to identify the products. The suspect was arrested for Contravening Trade Mark Act 194 of 1993 and Dealing in counterfeit good Act 37 of 1997, Sec 2.
