Store employee shot in Sundumbili

Earlier today IPSS Medical Rescue received reports of a shooting incident at a shop in the Sundumbili area.

On arrival on the scene, one of the IPSS Security Tactical Response Team members alongside other store employees was found assisting a store employee who had been shot in both legs with a rifle.

Reports from the scene indicate that the employee got into an altercation with a customer who then went to his vehicle and retrieved a rifle.

The customer then proceeded to shoot the employee in both legs.

The employee has sustained critical injuries and after being stabilised on scene by IPSS Medical Rescue Advanced Life Support has been transported to an appropriate facility for further care.

Sundumbili SAPS are on the scene and will be investigating further. Unfortunately, the suspect managed to escape before the arrival of police.
