A stolen vehicle was successfully recovered just hours after being taken from a home in Towlen, Lenham, Phoenix, early on Thursday morning.
The timely actions of an alert resident played a crucial role in the swift recovery of the vehicle. Hearing the vehicle start, the resident immediately contacted CPF members, providing them with vital information including the make, model, and tracking details, as well as descriptions of the suspects involved.
CPF officials quickly notified KZNVIP, who responded to the scene with urgency. Thanks to the effective collaboration with Tracking Agents, the team was led to Umfongosi Road in Kwa Mashu, where the suspects were attempting to strip the vehicle.
However, the suspects were disturbed by the arrival of authorities and fled the scene.
The stolen vehicle was recovered and transported to the nearest police station for further processing. At this time, the suspects were seen fleeing in a silver Toyota new spec hatchback, although the registration details remain unconfirmed.
“We would like to extend our gratitude to the alert community members who work closely with our KZNVIP ground teams and Cpf, Their vigilance and cooperation are invaluable in making our community safer for everyone.”
