On 21 December 2021 at 10:00, the complainant was at his farm at Swartberg, Kokstad, in the Kwazulu Natal province, when he counted his sheep.

Whilst he was busy counting, he noticed that a total of 36 sheep were stolen from one of his camp.

He checked everywhere with negative results.

On the following day, the Kokstad Stock Theft Unit together with the private security company received information regarding the stolen sheep.

The team went to an old abandoned house in Kokstad where 34 of the stolen sheep were recovered.

The stolen sheep were positively identified by the lawful owner.
