Four armed robbers held up staff and customers at a shop in Electron Road in a Springfield armed robbery on Sunday afternoon.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said the suspects entered the store and demanded that staff and customers lie down on the floor. The incident occurred at around 3.55pm.
“The suspects then went to the tills and stole an undisclosed sum of cash. They also robbed two customers of their valuables before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, no injuries were reported,” Mathios said.
Sydenham SAPS attended the scene of the crime.
