On Saturday, December 10, six suspects targeted a farm in Spitskop, outside of Ermelo.
The farmer Luke Muller rents a farmhouse and plot of land. Muller was busy outside when six black males approached him in a threatening manner.
He ran back to the house and made sure his family was secure and immediately activated the alarm.
The swift response of the neighborhood watch and surrounding farmers helped to avert another horrific farm attack. Due to the impassable terrain and heavy rains, the suspects were not captured.
The family was not hurt and thankful for the response received.
An investigation continues.
