At around 16:15 on Thursday afternoon Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a shooting at a farm in the Shakaskraal area on the Natal North coast. Reports from the scene indicate that the man was driving near his farm when the shooting took place, the vehicle then veered off the roadway and came to rest across a gravel Road next to the sugar cane field.

Exact detail to the incident will however remain a subject that will form part of the South African Police investigation.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and found the farmer, a Kenyan man aged fifty to have sustained serious injuries. The patient was stabilised by the Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedic before they transported him to a specialised hospital for the care that he required.
