On 25 October 2022, Scottburgh police arrested five suspects for attempted murder of three victims.
Police also seized three rifles, two pistols and 130 rounds of ammunition.
Charges of attempted murder were reported by three victims who alleged that at 08:30 they were driving to Dududu area when they were stopped by heavily armed security guard.
They complied and as soon as their taxi came to a halt the security guard opened fire towards the victims who managed to escape unharmed.
Police responded swiftly and arrested five suspects aged between 34 and 41 they will appear before Scottburgh Magistrates Court on 27 October 2022.
