Ematsheni SAPS seized 100kg dagga during crime prevention patrol activities on 27 April 2017.

Members noticed a suspicious motor vehicle in the area. The driver refused to stop and Police gave chase. The suspects abandoned the car and fled. Upon searching the vehicle, members discovered 11 plastic bags containing dagga.

Police are searching for the suspects involved in transporting dagga. We appeal to anyone with information of the whereabouts of the suspects to contact Ematsheni police on 036 448 2618 or Crime Stop 08600 1011

The KwaZulu-Natal Acting Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bheki Langa commended the members for their good operation that led to dagga recovery. “We will continue with the drugs operation to ensure to that all drugs are removed from the community,” he said.
