At approximately 19:05 yesterday members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatch to Amora Drive in Mountview, Verulam after receiving reports of a robbery and stabbing.
Upon arrival Reaction Officers found a 48 year old man lying on the side of the road. He had sustained two stab wounds, one to his back and a second to his abdomen. The victim was treated for his injuries on scene before being transported to hospital in a stable condition.
It is alleged that while walking home from work the victim was accosted by two suspects who robbed him of his cellphone and cash. The suspects then stabbed him before fleeing in an unknown direction.
