VIP Ambulance Services was dispatched to the Amaoti/Brooksfarm area after receiving reports of a Reaction officer from a private security company who was attacked by four armed suspects.
It is believed that when the Reaction officer stepped out of his vehicle to purchase goods from a local shop two suspects came from behind and began assaulting the officer, striking him multiple times with the firearm to the back of the head.
The Reaction officer was disarmed and had his belongings stolen. The suspects began shooting freely as they fled towards community members and children who were walking on the roadway.
The injured officer was taken to a safer location where he received medical attention before being transported to a medical facility for further medical attention….
