A multi-district task team conducted an operation in the Mondlo area to follow up on information about people who are dealing in drugs. The team proceeded to two homesteads where a search was conducted at both premises.
Three suspects aged between 29 and 39 were placed under arrest for possession and dealing in drugs. The suspects were found in possession of heroin.
The total value of the recovered drugs is estimated at R345 000-00. Cash of R27 590-00, suspected to be the proceeds of drugs was also seized from the suspects. The suspects appeared before the Nquthu Magistrates’ Court.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner for KwaZulu-Natal, Major General Thulani Gonya praised the team for the arrest of the drug dealers.
