Reaction Unit South Africa is requesting assistance from the public in an attempt to locate a 100 year old gold chain and pendant (picture) taken in a housebreaking from a home in Oakbridge Drive, Oaklands in KwaZulu-Natal. The jewel that was passed down four generations and holds sentimental value was taken on Monday 17 September 2018, between 10:00 and 14:00 while the family was out attending a prayer at a temple.

Other jewelry and valuables to the value of R250 000 and R5500 in cash was also taken. The homeowners medication for diabetes and thyroid treatment was also stolen by the suspects.

Entry to the property was gained via the main gate that was forced apart and the suspect used a 20 liter paint bucket to reach the kitchen window which was broken with unknown object. Only one bedroom was ransacked.

RUSA is requesting assistance in locating the items that could be offered for sale in the Durban and surrounding areas.

If you have any information on these missing items or the suspects kindly call Reaction Unit South Africa on 0861234333.
