On Monday 28 November 2022, the Hawks members from Durban Serious Organised Crime Investigation, Durban Harbour Detectives and Berea police station members were called out to a warehouse in Clairwood, Durban where they were shown suspicious parcels which were concealed in the cargo.
Preliminary investigation revealed that it was cocaine.
A further search was conducted and more bricks of cocaine were found.
The street value of the seized cocaine is approximately R16.8 million.
No arrest has been made at this stage, the investigation continues.
