Sporadic community service delivery protests in the Mooi River region in KwaZulu-Natal are causing traffic disruptions along this section of the N3 Toll Route. Protesters are burning tyres and throwing stones on or near the N3 Toll Route.
Law enforcement authorities are on the scene, but N3 Toll Concession (N3TC), the company managing the N3 Toll Route between Heidelberg in Gauteng and Cedara in KwaZulu-Natal, advises motorists, in the interest of their safety, to preferably delay their trips to the area, or make use of alternative routes.
Should you have no other option but to travel, it is essential to stay informed of traffic conditions by following N3TC’s Twitter feed (@N3Route), or contacting the 24-hour N3TC helpline on 0800 N3 Help (0800 63 4357).
