Police officers from the Provincial Drug and Firearm Unit nabbed a drug dealer at her place of residence in Mariannridge.
On the morning of 18 March 2022, at 09:00, police received information about a woman who was dealing in drugs on Pluto Road in Mariannridge.
An operation was in put in place and police proceeded to the said address.
The 55-year-old woman was found inside the house and upon searching, police found 1018 mandrax tablets and 838 pieces of rock cocaine. Cash of R230 and four rounds of ammunitions was also seized from the suspect.
The total estimated street value of the drugs is R145 090-00.
The suspect was placed under arrest for possession of ammunition as well as possession and dealing in drugs.
She will appear before the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, 22 March 2022.
