Two police officers were confronted in Umbilo Natal by two armed men and robbed of their police vehicle as well as their firearms.
The abandoned vehicle was later found at Clearance in the Umbilo area.
The poor quality training received by the police is reported as a reason for the successful hijacking, which means that criminals, can in such a way, easily get police weapons in order to commit further crimes.
