On 17 December 2017, a 23 year old Commercial Diver from Aqua Tech diving services, went missing while working on the hull of a Chinese vessel, the Rui-Ning 2.
A search was conducted by the PSS Police Divers late on 17 December 2017.
The Search was suspended at 22h00. On the morning of 18 December 2017 Specialized Class 3 Police Divers from Durban & Port Shepstone Search and Rescue continued the Search.
The Dive Operation was suspended at 16h00 to allow Port Operations, which were on shutdown for the entire day. The search will continue for the 23 year old diver.
