On Saturday, 31 January 2026, police from the Provincial Drugs and Firearm Unit, together with private security officers, arrested two suspects in Madadeni.
The arrests followed credible intelligence about a vehicle transporting drugs between Madadeni and Osizweni. Officers intercepted the vehicle along the suspected route.
A search of the vehicle uncovered a bag containing rock cocaine, mandrax, and crystal meth.
The two suspects, a man and a woman aged 33 and 39, were arrested for possession and dealing in drugs. They will appear at the Madadeni Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 2 February 2026.
