Yesterday, 23 May 2016 at about 10:00, Pinetown Trio Task Team arrested another two suspects, aged 34 and 35, at Pinetown area. The arrested suspects are expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court soon. This follows the arrest of the first suspect on 17 May 2016 for the same case in Pinetown for carjacking.
The first suspect appeared in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court on 18 May and was remanded in custody until 25 May 2016 for bail application.
The Acting KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Major General Bhekinkosi Langa praised the members for the arrest of the two suspects who were allegedly involved in hijacking and attempted murder.
