A 32 year old suspect is expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate court on 20 February 2020, on charges of dealing and possession of drugs.
The suspect was arrested on Wednesday, 19 February 2020 by the Durban Serious Organised Crime in collaboration with Crime Intelligence.
Members received information about a suspect who was supplying drugs to the dealers in the Phoenix area. The team swooped in on the business premises where the suspect was operating.
Mandrax tablets, heroine capsules, methaqualone powder and other drug related paraphernalia to the street value of about R490 000.00 was seized.
Investigations are still continuing.
