A 17 year old grade 11 student was stabbed by a fellow pupil during an argument at a school on Phoenix Highway in Phoenix, KwaZulu Natal.

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to the scene after receiving a call for assistance from an educator. Upon arrival the injured pupil was treated for a stab wound to his arm. A 16 year old student was apprehended for the stabbing and a pocket knife was found in his possession.

It is alleged that the two boys were involved in an argument over a cap. The argument escalated into a fist fight resulting in the 16 year old boy pulling out a knife and stabbing the grade 11 pupil.

The injured student was transported to a local hospital for further medical attention.
