Members of KZNVIP Were dispatched to the home after the family called and requested immediate medical assistance.
Reports from the scene indicate an Indian female had been going around attracting pensioners by promising them grocery and cash vouchers.
The suspect managed to distract the pensioner before drugging her and robbing her of all her belongings.
The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of goods and left the elderly female helpless on the ground
KZNVIP Medics attended to the patient who was barely responsive and rushed her rapidly to a medical facility.
