A 40 year old female was injured after she was run over while fleeing robbers on the R102 near Phoenix – KZN.
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received a call for assistance for the injured female.
On arrival, RUSA Members discovered the pedestrian on the side of the road.
A witness informed Reaction Officers that three suspects approached the female. One of the males produced a knife and demanded her cellphone.
The victim fled but was struck by a maroon Mazda CX3. The robbers grabbed her cellphone and fled in an unknown direction. Witnesses believe that the suspects are Heroin addicts.
The victim sustained severe injuries and was stabilised on scene before being transported to a medical facility by Paramedics from a private ambulance service.
