At approximately 21:30 last night members of Reaction Unit South Africa were dispatched to Phoenix, Kwazulu-Natal after receiving reports of a woman being knocked down.
Upon arrival the pedestrian was found to have suffered life threatening injuries. She showed no signs of life and was declared dead on arrival. The vehicle that was involved in the accident fled the scene.
The woman’s identity has not been established at this stage.
