A Blue Security armed response officer arrested two business burglars in Umbilo on 15 April 2018.
Blue Security community and media liaison officer Andreas Mathios said the armed response officer was patrolling the area at around 5pm when a security guard flagged him down for assistance.
“The security guard advised him that a burglary was in progress at a business premises in Sydney Road. The officer proceeded to the premises and arrested two suspects who were carrying a role of stolen fencing.” Mathios said.
Mathios said the suspects had cut open the lock on a front driveway gate to the premises to gain entry. The suspects were handed over to the Umbilo SAPS at the scene.
An armed robbery suspect out on bail was also arrested by one of our reaction officers in Glenwood recently.
